Foodie heaven.

Trailer, cart, truck, silver bullet, wagon, we got em’ all. Austin loves our Food Carts and they seem to be growing by the day. I don’t mind exploring the city to hunt all the new motor-restaurants down, but last weekend I let them all come to me at the Austin Gypsy Picnic. Continue reading

Such great heights in ATX.

Austin’s Mount Bonnell is one of the city’s oldest tourist attractions, it’s been documented as far back as 1850. It is the highest point within Austin City Limits and, according to everyone I’ve talked to, has the best 360 degree view of the city. So I figured it was time to take a hike, get some altitude, and take a few pictures.

 Here we go…

Happy Austin City Limits weekend.

It’s my first ACL. Do I have tickets yet? No. Do I have a plan yet? No. Am I going? You better believe it… how else am I supposed to hunt Kanye down?

{8.31} Hump Day

Yes, your favorite Hump Day posts of my favorite links of the week are back. Here we go…
The power of social media helps find missing student… all the way in Malaysia.
Austin needs a version of this site, Let’s Meet and Work.
Thank goodness Anderson Cooper has not seen my YouTube videos, he would have a few more to make fun of.
Hipster Ipsum – making the wireframes of Austin, TX and Williamsburg, NY more cliche (and awesome) everyday. Do you need some text for your website, blog or whatever? *sigh* Okay…
The biggest, best infographic I have ever seen.
And last, a stop motion video of California – it is gorgeous and that weather looks a lot nicer than this record-breaking heat in Texas.

Keep Austin spicy.

So I’ve neglected my blog lately – but I have a good excuse… I’ve been busy. Busy doing what? Oh, just working a full-time job, prepping to start a part-time job, taking weekend trips to visit friends around Texas and attempting to not get lost in a new city. No worries – over the next few posts I’ll fill you in on all the fun events… like The Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival shown above. It was no Missouri State Fair with fried twinkies, but it was a pretty good (hot) substitute. Continue reading

A lake in the city.

It’s difficult to get in a good jog when you constantly want to stop and take a photo – it’s a problem I like having. These are the photos I took with the Camera360 Android app while on a jog at Lady Bird Lake at sunset.

A South Congress Sunday

The past four weeks have been a whirlwind: graduation events, “business” in New York City, a 48 hour U-Haul road trip, a new job, a new apartment and a new city. I think I have a stock-pile of blog posts floating in my brain, but I think today is all about having a lazy Sunday on my new street, South Congress. It’s got some serious character…
