Foodie heaven.

Trailer, cart, truck, silver bullet, wagon, we got em’ all. Austin loves our Food Carts and they seem to be growing by the day. I don’t mind exploring the city to hunt all the new motor-restaurants down, but last weekend I let them all come to me at the Austin Gypsy Picnic. Continue reading

Such great heights in ATX.

Austin’s Mount Bonnell is one of the city’s oldest tourist attractions, it’s been documented as far back as 1850. It is the highest point within Austin City Limits and, according to everyone I’ve talked to, has the best 360 degree view of the city. So I figured it was time to take a hike, get some altitude, and take a few pictures.

 Here we go…

Cut, copy but no paste at ACL.

I had no ACL plan, but I still made it to a show – Twin Shadow and Cut Copy DJ Set w/ Theophilis LondonDiamond Rings and WAX at Emo’s. And it was awesome… (don’t judge my photo skills to harshly, cell phone camera + crowds + a beer or two don’t mix well). Continue reading

Happy Austin City Limits weekend.

It’s my first ACL. Do I have tickets yet? No. Do I have a plan yet? No. Am I going? You better believe it… how else am I supposed to hunt Kanye down?

Keep Austin spicy.

So I’ve neglected my blog lately – but I have a good excuse… I’ve been busy. Busy doing what? Oh, just working a full-time job, prepping to start a part-time job, taking weekend trips to visit friends around Texas and attempting to not get lost in a new city. No worries – over the next few posts I’ll fill you in on all the fun events… like The Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival shown above. It was no Missouri State Fair with fried twinkies, but it was a pretty good (hot) substitute. Continue reading

A lake in the city.

It’s difficult to get in a good jog when you constantly want to stop and take a photo – it’s a problem I like having. These are the photos I took with the Camera360 Android app while on a jog at Lady Bird Lake at sunset.

A South Congress block party.

Location, location, location! I love my address because it ends with South Congress Avenue – I might not be in the heart of the Austin SoCo District, but I’m close enough to make it count. Every first Thursday of the month my street turns into a block party of food, fashion… and Austin wired-ness. Photos taken with the Camera Effects Android app, I think it’s one you can skip – I’m going back to my Retro Camera.

Skinny iced vanilla latte please.

This is what my Starbucks Card Mobile app looks like – I would show you a screen shot, but my HTC Incredible seems to not like to support that function. More importantly, sorry I’m not sorry my caffine addicition now has a bank account (gratiously supplied by graduation gift cards) and mobile app.
